Only gradual compression can properly improve blood flow and muscle oxigenation, pushing the returning blood from the bottom of your legs towards your heart.

*Compression levels for an average calf perimeter of 14.2″/37cm. May vary ±2.5mmHg for calf perimeters between 12.6″/32 to 16.5″/42cm.

Ankle swelling and varicose veins
Avoid ankle swelling due to long flights or prolonged standing.

Use only Gradual Compression socks to treat or prevent varicose veins. INDESmed compression socks will succesfully prevent varicose veins related to prolonged standing, and are indicated for treatment of:

• Stage I, telangectasia or reticular veins.
• Stage II, varicose veins with no symptoms or moderate symptoms.
• Treatment of some skin changes due to venous disorders, such as eczema and dermatitis, specifically around the ankle area.

Our recommendation: always wear one pair of INDESmed’s compression socks during sport practice, and other one for about two hours after hard workout.

How do I choose my size?

Just choose your bamboo compression socks according your shoe size; see below table. Do not worry about calf perimeter, as specified compression levels are calculated for an average calf perimeter on each shoe-size range, and can happend a small deviation of ±2.5mmHg.

*This chart is based on european-sized shoe brands. For an accurate fit, you can use an ordinary ruler to measure your foot.

Michel Gordillo – Born to Fly and INDESmed-Bamboo Compression Socks

Michel Gordillo is a a commercial pilot who is no stranger to flying long distances. In 1998 he flew his Kitfox Model IV from Madrid, Spain to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA for the annual Experimental Aviation Association fly-in.

In 2001 he built an MCR01 experimental aircraft and flew it from Madrid around the world east to west.

“And then, after letting everything setting down, I was able to build the plane I always wanted to build and fly: an RV-8 from Vans Aircraft.

The study of the black carbon contents in the atmosphere, and the convenience for the project of an aircraft like the RV-8, bonded together and flying around the world over the Poles, is now altogether, another dream and a huge scientific study.”

Medium Compression Socks; Bamboo on the feet to reduce the fatigue of the crews

Medium Compression Socks; When the first Spanish pilot, Aviator Michel Gordillo, landed in Antarctica after circumpolar literally the North and South Pole for the first time in history with a single engine airplane weighing less than 1500 kgs.

He arrived at the Argentine base of Marambio, after more than 21 hours flying on the Antarctic ice, in an island to the northeast of the Peninsula, very few we knew that besides the aeronautical gesture, and the scientific mission of the spaniard taking samples of soot or black coal  suspension to FL100 on average to see its impact on global warming, with an aethalometer installed on the RV8 EC-XLL by the flyer Michel Gordillo.

A test was being carried out under such conditions, such as flying in a cabin so reduced of less than 1 meter and a half cubic for hundreds of hours, in relation to fatigue on board and vascular health of crews in quite extreme conditions.

And here comes the use/test of  his compression socks from INDESmed…Bamboo Compression Socks
