Una peque\u00f1a empresa espa\u00f1ola integrada por seis empleados ha creado las muletas m\u00e1s ligeras del mundo y ha sido elegida por ello como finalista al Premio a la Innovaci\u00f3n que concede Naidex, la mayor feria europea de productos para la autonom\u00eda y la movilidad de personas con discapacidades y que se celebrar\u00e1 en marzo en Reino Unido, informa Europa Press.<\/p>\n

Se trata de IndesMed, una compa\u00f1\u00eda creada en 2011 por los ingenieros de Telecomunicaciones Rafael Vidal Rodr\u00edguez y Miguel Capiello, quienes detectaron a base de investigaci\u00f3n y experiencia propia.<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Vidal sobrevivi\u00f3 al accidente de Spanair y tuvo una larga convalecencia\u2013 de que las muletas que se ven obligadas a llevar miles de personas cada d\u00eda suelen ser pesadas, feas, inc\u00f3modas y pueden causar complicaciones como tendinitis en las manos.<\/p>\n

\u00abMe di cuenta de que en general, en la ortopedia parece que vale todo, nadie cuida la est\u00e9tica ni la funcionalidad ni nada y adem\u00e1s se vende todo a precio de oro. Yo buscaba algo m\u00e1s c\u00f3modo y que fuera est\u00e9tico, porque bastante tiene uno con tener una enfermedad o una lesi\u00f3n, como para que tener que cargar con un aparato que te recuerda todo el tiempo que est\u00e1s mal\u00bb, explica.<\/p>\n

Comenzaron a trabajar en la idea de unas muletas que se pudiesen llevar \u00abcomo un complemento\u00bb y resultasen c\u00f3modas y ligeras. En 2011 ya ten\u00edan el producto, las primeras muletas del mercado fabricadas en fibra de carbono, que seg\u00fan explica, \u00abno se utilizaba entonces para la ortopedia, quiz\u00e1 porque se pensaba que era innecesario\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Vidal explica que las muletas tienen otra particularidad, pues no producen tendinitis ya que el dise\u00f1o, que han patentado, se bas\u00f3 en un estudio m\u00e9dico sobre la posici\u00f3n de la mano para lograr \u00abuna postura neutra, en la que no se fuerce\u00bb y por tanto no se da\u00f1e. Se ofrecen adem\u00e1s en colores vivos, como el naranja o el morado, lo que \u00abinfluye mucho a nivel psicol\u00f3gico\u00bb.<\/p>\n

\u00abEsto se convierte en un complemento igual que pueden ser unas gafas. Se trata de muletas que podr\u00edan pasar por bastones de esqu\u00ed y que te quitan esa sensaci\u00f3n de llevar un trasto porque tienes una discapacidad y est\u00e1s fastidiado. Es un complemento est\u00e9tico y, lo m\u00e1s importante, lo utilizas sin que se te fastidien las mu\u00f1ecas\u00bb, a\u00f1ade.<\/p>\n

Las primeras se vendieron en el extranjero, donde creyeron que era una empresa alemana, algo que seg\u00fan afirma, siguen pensando hoy muchos de sus clientes, \u00abcomo si no se hiciera buen dise\u00f1o e innovaci\u00f3n en Espa\u00f1a\u00bb.<\/p>\n

En este sentido, lamenta la falta de apoyo y de reconocimiento dentro de las fronteras, pues no han contado con ning\u00fan tipo de ayuda institucional para el desarrollo de la iniciativa.<\/p>\n

A partir del 27 de marzo, presentar\u00e1n sus productos en Naidex, la mayor feria europea de productos para la autonom\u00eda personal de personas con discapacidades, en la ciudad brit\u00e1nica de Birmingham.<\/p>\n

La organizaci\u00f3n ha seleccionado las muletas espa\u00f1olas como candidatas al Premio de Innovaci\u00f3n, que reconoce \u00abla idea m\u00e1s innovadora que haya abierto nuevos caminos se destaca de la competencia por factores como el dise\u00f1o, la operatividad y la efectividad\u00bb, seg\u00fan explica Naidex.<\/p>\n

Vidal destaca que esta empresa de seis trabajadores, \u00abla \u00fanica espa\u00f1ola de la feria, competir\u00e1 con gigantes del sector\u00bb como la compa\u00f1\u00eda multinacional Ottobock, aunque en Espa\u00f1a, donde adem\u00e1s de las muletas venden ya andadores y bastones fabricados en fibra de carbono y con el mismo concepto est\u00e9tico, se ignore.<\/p>\n

\u00abLos extranjeros son mucho mejores con el m\u00e1rketing, como la empresa que le puso las muletas al Rey em\u00e9rito, aquellas que ten\u00edan luces. Sabemos, porque hemos visto fotograf\u00edas de sus \u00faltimas apariciones p\u00fablicas, que el Rey Em\u00e9rito est\u00e1 ahora utilizando al menos dos de nuestros bastones as\u00ed que lleva el bast\u00f3n m\u00e1s ligero del mundo, que es de fibra de carbono y pesa s\u00f3lo 100 gramos, con un letrero que dice \u2018made in Spain\u2019.
